Micman Commodities International, is an associate group company of Micman Agro , which was started and established by its’ founder member Dr. Eugene Manual Lopez an Agro Scientist with proven track record of 35 years in research and developments in Agro Sectors. The concept of forming an establishment to especially and exclusively trade in agricultural commodities and food products touched and taken shape in his mind when there was a starvation due to severe famine in the country and people were running helter skelter to search food for survival! He ran from pillars to posts to help people sourcing their food items from all over India and neighbouring countries!
The ‘MICAGRO’ taken birth and came in to existence on November 28, 1928 when there was an extreme scarcity and acute shortage of Rice, Wheat, Millet, Barley, Sugar and Other Cereals in India due to bad famine, bad harvest and poor yields. Resultantly people have to bite a dust due to scarcity of grains and bite a bitter pills having lost the sweetness of their favorite item for making daily teas, beverages and sweets.
Having prudent and vast knowledge of agricultural products growers worldwide and domination of Brazil in sugarcane growing and producing sugars, he flied to Brazil and established remarkable contacts with Brazilian Sugar Growers and Refineries. Then he started importing Brazilian sugars, Soybean, White & Yellow Corn, Beans 7 Pulses across the borders in small quantities. Gradually the trade was so speedily developed that, knowing the Indian mass consumption of these products, he dared courageously to import all these products in vessel loads!
This Group has acquired stakes in number of Brazilian Sugar Refineries and is in a process of takeover of two of them in a near future. The negotiation is going on and the final decision is not far as the paper work is almost under completion!
It has acquired a agricultural land measuring 500 hectors with sugarcane cultivation
